New parts fall under the two-year legal conformity guarantee of Belgian consumer law; certified cylinders also carry a manufacturer's warranty shown on their card. Is VAT 6 % on a locksmith job?
It is 6 % for supplying and fitting a cylinder, lock or reinforcement in a private dwelling over 10 years old, invoiced to a private individual. Opening a door on its own, with no parts or works, is a service at 21 %. The rate applied appears on the invoice. Request a quote →
What do I need to have with me when the locksmith arrives?

Night emergency or appointment tomorrow: what is the price difference?
In the evening, at night, on Sundays and public holidays, labour on the Belgian market carries a 50 to 100 % surcharge, and we give you the exact amount on the phone. If the door is locked, armoured or the cylinder is already damaged, the locksmith explains why drilling becomes necessary and waits for your agreement; the drilled cylinder is then replaced, at a price announced before the work starts. I lost my keys — does the whole lock have to be replaced?
Usually not: replacing the cylinder is enough and the lock and door stay in place. The whole lock is only replaced when the mechanism has been forced or broken, or when you want to move to a multipoint lock. If you still have your keys and the lock works, we replace nothing. Request a quote →

Locked door, lost or broken key
Picking or extracting the key fragment, opening, then cylinder replacement if the key is lost. A standard or certified cylinder is offered with its price.
Cylinder replacement
Euro cylinder, standard or certified against drilling and picking, several doors keyed alike, ownership card handed over. The old cylinder is left with you.
Multipoint lock
Repair or replacement of a three- or five-point lock, adjustment of keeps and door so the mechanism no longer binds. Fitting to an existing door possible.
