Does 6 % VAT apply to my renovation?
Yes if the home is over 10 years old, used as a private dwelling and the invoice is addressed to a private individual; the works must concern the building itself, which is the case for plumbing, electrics, plastering, floors and painting. What should I prepare before the survey and before the works?
For the survey: your ideas, inspiration photos if you have any, and access to all rooms involved as well as the meter and the consumer unit. Before the works: empty the rooms, protect what stays, inform neighbours and the building manager if you are in a co-owned building. We take care of floor protection and waste removal.
